10 Tampa Bay: Manatee County leans on Peregrine for hurricane prep, response
MANATEE COUNTY, FLA. — Manatee County Emergency Management is preparing for this year's hurricane season by partnering with Peregrine, a data integration and analytics platform. This will be the county's second year using Peregrine for hurricane response; the platform also assisted Manatee County last fall during hurricanes Debby, Helene, and Milton.
"What Peregrine does is it combines it all together,” Manatee County Chief of Emergency Management Matt Myers told 10 Tampa Bay. “We're able to do basically a one-stop shop instead of having to open a bunch of windows, go back and forth, compare, contrast, and this does it for us.”
This year, the county will use AI features in Peregrine to map out 911 and 311 calls in real time, saving precious minutes during critical activations. To learn more, check out the full story on 10 Tampa Bay's website.
