ABC7: Glendale opens Peregrine-powered real-time intelligence center

The city of Glendale, California, officially launched its real-time intelligence center (RTIC) on Wednesday, Nov. 13, aiming to enhance public safety while protecting residents’ privacy.

The Glendale Police Department partnered with Peregrine to integrate live data from hundreds of sources — including traffic cameras, dash cams, body-worn cameras, drones, and helicopters — and route it into a six-person control room, ABC7 reports. The new RTIC will provide more comprehensive, up-to-date situational awareness when officers receive calls for service.

“It’s about responding to emergencies more efficiently, solving investigations more effectively, and creating a safer environment,” Glendale Mayor Elen Asatryan said in a recent press conference.

The Glendale Police Department plans to expand its RTIC next year to draw from even more data sources. Peregrine will continue to provide a secure, unified platform where officers can easily manage, analyze, and action their RTIC data. See ABC7’s original story here
