ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (Sept. 1, 2025) — The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) has adopted Peregrine to improve efficiency and safety throughout the agency. Peregrine uses AI algorithms to integrate and analyze crime data, illustrate trends, and compile comprehensive profiles of suspects.

Peregrine's real-time decision and operations management platform acts as the informational backbone of APD's real-time crime center, which briefs field officers on situations where they are being dispatched.

"Each time we arm our officers with more information, they're better able to prepare the situation they're going into, which keeps them safe and in reality keeps the public safe also," APD Chief Herold Medina told KOAT Action 7 News.

Peregrine CEO and co-founder Nick Noone explained that the technology can help build a profile of a suspect and assess the risk of a situation by integrating data from previous arrests, court cases, and other databases.

"The officer would have a grasp of all of the prior contacts that have taken place at that house, any history of violence, any history of community engagement, any history of the individuals at the location that have interacted with any government service providers or the police department," Noone said.
