NBC Bay Area: San Jose police show off new Peregrine-powered intelligence center
SAN JOSE, CALIF., April 28, 2025 — The San Jose Police Department pulled back the curtain to show the public its real-time intelligence center (RTIC) earlier this week. Among other cutting-edge technologies, the RTIC uses Peregrine as its advanced data analytics and integration platform.
Chief Paul Joseph told NBC Bay Area the RTIC has already helped streamline and solve investigations for the police department.
"Just last week, the RTIC was able to assist with an active burglary investigation in tracking a suspect throughout the city," Joseph said. "RTIC analysts collected enough evidence for the detectives to obtain a warrant and subsequently arrest the suspect."
Peregrine CEO Nick Noone added that Peregrine helps investigators work more efficiently.
"For example, if there’s a vehicle or a suspect that is identified in a live or historical video feed, looking through body camera video from prior investigations or prior calls for service and investigations to really connect the dots between all of these underlying systems is where the RTIC we expect to become very powerful," Noone said.
