SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. and MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (Aug. 8, 2025) — Peregrine Technologies, a leading provider of data integration and decision-support technology for public safety agencies and other mission-critical organizations, today announced a new partnership with Peel Regional Police (PRP), marking Peregrine’s official launch into Canada.

“We’re proud to partner with Peel, an organization recognized for its innovation and forward-looking approach to public safety,” said Nick Noone, CEO and co-founder of Peregrine Technologies. “As our first Canadian customer, Peel is raising the bar for how modern Canadian police services can harness technology to work smarter, respond faster, and collaborate more effectively. This partnership is about driving positive outcomes for the communities Peel serves — through accountable, coordinated, and informed law enforcement.”

“Peel Regional Police is committed to modernizing our service delivery through innovative technology solutions that support both our members and the communities we serve,” said Chief Nishan Duraiappah. “Our partnership with Peregrine, coupled with our commitment to the respectful and transparent implementation of progressive public safety tools, will assist the PRP in achieving its aspirational vision of being the most progressive, innovative, and inclusive police service in Canada.”

Peel Regional Police will deploy Peregrine to unify data systems across its operations, enhancing real-time awareness, strengthening cross-agency collaboration, and improving the speed and quality of investigations. Peregrine’s platform will streamline how information moves throughout the service, connecting structured and unstructured data across departments and jurisdictions while ensuring full governance, transparency, and auditability. Peregrine will support day-to-day operations across the organization by:

  • Providing command staff and leadership teams with the data they need to set long-term strategies, establish departmental priorities, and allocate resources effectively

  • Equipping investigators to conduct thorough investigations, uncover critical details faster, and help prevent future crimes

  • Supplying crime analysts with actionable tools to analyze information, identify patterns, and deliver insights that enhance operational effectiveness

  • Empowering patrol officers with real-time access to the data they need — right in the palm of their hand — to prevent crime, respond effectively, and stay safe

  • Giving dispatch and records teams instant access to reliable, centralized data to enhance patrol communications and boost situational awareness

This integrated approach will help the PRP operate as a more informed, agile and connected agency, built to serve a growing and diverse region with speed, precision, and accountability.

As Peregrine expands across Canada, the platform will increase the capacity for seamless, secure data sharing between local, regional and national partners. Peregrine’s built-in security features ensure all shared data is traceable, respects jurisdictional boundaries, and supports interagency accountability — complete with built-in access controls and detailed audit logs. As with all Peregrine deployments, Peel Regional Police retains exclusive ownership and control of its data.

Peel joins a growing network of Peregrine customers across North America who are transforming how they surface, share, and act on critical information — while upholding the highest standards of civil liberties, transparency, and professionalism. Peregrine currently serves public safety agencies in hundreds of jurisdictions across the United States and Canada, serving more than 80 million people. Building on its law enforcement foundation, Peregrine has also expanded into emergency management, fire and rescue, and corrections to help first responders deliver life-saving services in real time with a greater degree of situational awareness, collaboration, efficiency, and effectiveness.
